Institution Description

A small, upper division, public university and college of health sciences. This coed college is located in a very large city in an urban setting and is primarily a commuter campus. It offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.

Acceptance Rate: 78%

Admission Requirements: Depends on student status as high school or out of high school for more than 3 years.  Standardized testing is optional for admissions

For HS students or those out of HS less than 3 years, applying as test scores optional: Submit the following items:

  1. application for admission and $35 nonrefundable application fee

  2. essay/personal statement (see below)

  3. official high-school transcript (must be sent directly to UBalt)

  4. official standardized test scores (SAT code=5810; ACT code=1744), to be considered for scholarships

  5. letter of recommendation

  6. resume and list of extracurricular activities are optional but highly encouraged

  7. a second essay may be requested

  • Part-time tuition is charged at $320 per credit in-state or $1,012 out-of-state.
  • Auxiliary Construction Fee is $3 per credit (from 1-11 credits). The full-time rate of $36 applies to 12 or more credits.
  • Auxiliary Operating Fee is $23 per credit (from 1-11 credits). The full-time rate of $273 applies to 12 or more credits.
  • Student Center Fee is $34 per credit (from 1-11 credits). The full-time rate of $407 applies to 12 or more credits.
  • Student Services Fee is $16 per credit (from 1-11 credits). The full-time rate of $192 applies to 12 or more credits.
  • Student Government Association Fee is a flat rate of $25.
  • Technology Fee is $9 per credit (from 1-11 credits). The full-time rate of $108 applies to 12 or more credits.
  • Laboratory fees apply to certain courses. The amount varies, depending on the course.
