Getting Started with OER

Congratulations! You are providing your students with an affordable education by deciding to adopt or create an OER for your students!

To get started you might want to do some training on the ins and outs of OER. You can also get your project started by doing a few things:

  • Have your CCOs handy, specifically focusing on the major topics of your course.
  • Do a cursory search of what is available in your subject area.
  • After doing the training, decide what type of project you want to do and how much time you are able to invest in your project.

Here are some basic trainings that you can follow asynchronously.

Here is a list of organizations that provide regular webinars on a variety of OER related topics.
