Genealogy Research: Getting organized

A guide to sources on genealogy.

Getting organized

Organizing your research is important because you need to be able to compare and verify information to ascertain if it is correct.  A binder for each number in a family tree is useful.  Eight is a manageable number to get started.

Handout Sites

Many sites provide free downloadable genealogy forms to make organizing ancestry easier. The forms allow you to carefully copy your ancestor's information and keep that information in your own records. You can also keep track of your research, the data you've collected, records, family trees, family groups and more with genealogy forms.
