A guide to help with biological research

Welcome to the BIOL 100 Library Session Guide!

If you have any questions please contact your BIOL 100 Instructor or your Librarian, Shaune Pyle, spyle@ccbcmd.edu.

What are Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Sources?

Review the parts of a research article:

Secondary Source Example - Review Article

Example article: When the answer to vaccines is "No".

Tertiary Source Example - Organization Website

Example website: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/autism.html

Where do I find them?

Most primary and secondary sources can be found in one of the library's databases. You can also find some tertiary sources here as well.
