Some students prefer searching Google Scholar to identify relevant articles and then using the library to actually find the full text articles themselves. Many of the library's resources can be accessed through Google Scholar if your change some of your Google settings. Here is how.
Wikipedia and whatever else looks academically appropriate can be used to get some basic knowledge on the place and time period in which the work was created. You do not need to cite things that are considered common knowledge. Basic Googling is a good first place to start gathering important key words to use to search later.
