What was Chicory? What does the Chicory Revitalization Project Do?

"Chicory magazine captured the words, passions, debates, and anger of Black Baltimore from 1966-1983. Published by the Enoch Pratt Free Library, this community poetry magazine offers a window into a tumultuous time in Baltimore and the nation’s history through the voices of people often left out of the historical record. Since 2018, the Chicory Revitalization Project has used Chicory to spur conversations about place, race, and social justice in Baltimore."
