Am I eligible? Access to Library electronic resources is granted only for currently registered students, active staff and faculty.
Please read the eligibility for the library electronic resources. Access to Library electronic resources expires on the date on which you cease active enrollment or employment with the college.
If you are currently taking a class and you still have an issue in logging in, please email to khan@ccbcmd.edu with your name and your 900 number.
When you are off-campus and use library databases or Smart Search, you will be prompted to log in through the Microsoft sign-in followed by the MyCCBC sign-in.
[1] When you get prompted for the Microsoft sign-in, please use your CCBC email. If you are a student, use your CCBC student email as shown below.
[2] Then, when you are redirected to the MyCCBC sign-in, please use your CCBC username (not your email address).
When you have trouble logging in to "My Library Account" and get an error message saying "unable to identify you via campus identification", it could be one of three causes as follows:
[Cause 1] You might have used the full email address. Please make sure that you use the college username without the email part: "@email.ccbcmd.edu".
[Cause 2] There might be a temporary communication issue between the library system and the college system during the authentication process. Please wait a little and try again.
[Cause 3] If the problem persists and you have no issues with other college systems such as myCCBC, Brightspace or MS Office 365, it is more likely your account information missing in the library system. You need to report your log-in problem here, and then we will try to resolve your issue as soon as possible.
If you don't know your CCBC username/password, but you know your 900#, you probably are a first-time user.
Step 1: Go to https://shwa.ccbcmd.edu. Fill in the form to retrieve your username. Once you get your username, now you know your CCBC email address: username@email.ccbcmd.edu. You will need your CCBC email address when you use library online resources from off-campus.
Step 2: Go to https://myccbc.ccbcmd.edu. Below the log-in box, click 'First-Time User'. You will be able to set the password.
If you are trying to use the library databases remotely, you may find that your browser has saved your credentials from an existing personal account and will attempt to log into that account automatically. You need to switch to your CCBC account.
[1] If you are already logged into your personal account, click your photo or name icon in the upper right corner. Click Sign Out.
[2] Click Switch to a different account. Use your CCBC email address (username@email.ccbcmd.edu).
If you are accessing Visual Body from off-campus, you will go through the steps below.
If you are on campus, you can go from [3].
[1] First, you will be prompted for Microsoft Sign-in. Use your CCBC email address For students, your email address is username@email.ccbcmd.edu.
[2] You will be redirected to the MyCCBC sign-in. Use your CCBC credentials.
[3] Then, you will end up with the Visual Body sign-in page. If you are a first-time user, you need to sign up to create an account and password. You can use your CCBC email address or your alternative email address like a personal email. Please note that we strongly recommend to use a different password from your CCBC password.
[4] Once you are signed in, you should be able to use Visual Body. If you use a mobile device, you may need to install the 'Visual Body Suite' app on your device.
