Cancer is a disease of abnormal cellular growth. All growing cells pass through a strictly regulated cycle, where cellular structures are duplicated. At its end, one cell is separated into two, each receiving a copy of the duplicated structures. The most important duplicated structures are the genes, which govern all cellular activities.
